It's close to the foot of Table Mountain and near other areas like Claremont and Rondebosch.

Duties:
- Ensure quality control and integrity over all financial transactions, compliance, and monthly financial reporting.
- Revenue recognition on various project contracts according to IFRS15.
- Monthly reviews of income statement and balance sheet items, ensuring accurate and complete reports up to management level.
- Submission of monthly and ad hoc group reporting requirements, including monthly information to the consolidation system.
- Timely preparation of accurate management reports every month.
- Accurate cost allocation at cost centre and project level.
- Assess and improve financial processes and systems.
- Prepare accurate margin analysis tools and reports within deadlines.
- Facilitate discussions with operations based on margin analysis tools and reports.
- Provide decision-useful information to operations and management.
- Timely preparation of cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital cycle.
- Improve and maintain forecasting models and tools.
- Provide strategic input based on financial results.
- Reconcile all balance sheet items (monthly and yearly).
- Review payments and reconciliations (VAT, EMP, wages, suppliers, etc.).
- Lead and manage the finance team.
- Oversee month-end processing, reconciliation procedures, checklists, and work calendars.
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly finance deadlines are met.
- Oversee year-end close procedures.
- Develop and enhance internal controls and business processes.
- Preparation of audit files and facilitate statutory audits.
- Manage foreign payment requests, hedging of currency exposures, and forex accounting.
- Insurance-related tasks, ensuring company policies are up to date and adequately insured.
- Liaise with insurance brokers, banks, auditors, and landlords.
- Responsible for cash flow management, including forecasts.
- Provide full backup for the Group Financial Controller when unavailable.
- Perform ad hoc duties and projects within the finance department as required.

Qualifications:
- Matric (Garde 12)
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Honours / CTA
- CA(SA)
Experience:
- Completed SAICA Articles of any of the BIG 5 audit firms
- Minimum of 4 years post-article experience in industry
- Must have 2 years management experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in the financial management of the construction industry and/or renewables is highly preferable.
- Proficiency in SAP Business One is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel (Intermediate level or higher).
- Ability to handle high volume, stress, and tight deadlines (non-negotiable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective people management skills.
- Self-starter, adaptable, energetic, and confident.
