Group Executive Operations Management - Grade E5
An exciting opportunity exists at the Corporate Office for an experienced and skilled professional to fulfill the role of Group Executive Operations Management within the Operations Management division.
Key Performance Output
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for the following:
- Translating business strategy into functional plans for airport operations.
- Reviewing and realigning practices, systems, structures, and frameworks to match the business intent and operating model.
- Staying updated on macro and micro-economic conditions.
- Anticipating and planning for circumstances that may influence the development and implementation of functional plans.
- Leading the operational planning process, including developing a framework and parameters to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Developing, monitoring, and reporting on key airport management performance indicators.
- Ensuring sustainable, customer-centric, compliant, and efficient airport operations aligned with the ACSA operating model, business strategy, and mandate.
- Driving performance and continuous improvement across the network of operations based on set metrics and standards.
- Implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System across the organization.
- Managing account strategies, account plans, and success measurement aligned with the commercial strategy to foster growth.
- Overseeing centralized Capital Program Planning, Delivery, and Governance.
- Developing and institutionalizing EPM best practices for project visibility, strategic alignment, risk reduction, and efficient implementation.
- Operationalizing enterprise asset management and maintenance strategies across airports, including Facilities Management Services.
- Interpreting business plans to develop operational, capex, and labor budgets.
- Managing operational, labor, and capex requirements to meet targets and submitting recommendations to executive management.
- Managing the function and objectives within approved budgets.
- Providing timely, accurate reports in line with governance and statutory requirements.
- Conducting workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing.
- Implementing people development processes such as performance management, succession planning, and talent management.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years, 480 credits, NQF8) is essential.
- Master’s degree (MBA) is advantageous.
- 10 years management experience in Airport/Operations/General Management is essential.
- 5 years senior management experience in similar fields is essential.
- Code B motor vehicle license.
- Intermediate MS Office skills are essential.
