Job Description : This is a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned finance executive to shape the financial landscape of a highly entrepreneurial and diversified financial services group. As Group CFO you will be at the helm of all finance operations and governance across a multifaceted group of companies. Your mandate includes leading the full finance function driving operational excellence ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making at executive and board levels. Youll have the chance to influence major transformation play a critical role in strategic execution and contribute to long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of rigorous financial controls across all business units.
• Oversee group-wide financial operations ensuring accuracy efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure timely accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial reports in line with statutory and IFRS / IFRS for SMEs requirements.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and deliver on strategic initiatives and growth objectives.
• Manage financial governance ensuring alignment with King IV principles and regulatory obligations.
• Present financial performance insights to Exco and the Board; drive performance tracking.
• Lead internal and external audit processes and manage relationships with audit partners.
• Direct the group budget process from departmental consolidation to executive approval.
• Support due diligence and integration for acquisitions and investment opportunities.
• Mentor and develop finance leaders across business units; build strong finance capability.
• Collaborate with CIO to enhance financial systems and process automation.

Requirements

Must-Haves

• BCom Hons in Accounting
• CA(SA) designation with clean ITC and credit record
• Minimum 15 years of post-articles experience
• Extensive financial reporting budgeting and compliance leadership experience
• Proven track record in external audit management and regulatory reporting
• Exceptional attention to detail and financial accuracy
• Highly proactive and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
• Excellent leadership mentoring and interpersonal communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in financial services advisory or similar regulated industry
• Familiarity with process automation or finance systems implementation
