Our client is looking for a Group Accountant to manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support effective decision-making through accurate financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical reviews of general ledger accounts, investigating and reporting any variances.
  • Confidently present management accounts with meaningful insights.
  • Respond to accounting requests from the Group Financial Manager and CFO.
  • Prepare and post all necessary journal entries to ensure accurate monthly accounts.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing of all related functions.
  • Assess and process all provisions accurately, ensuring proper management approval.
  • Review and resolve stock variances in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Conduct profit and loss reviews and balance sheet analyses, including working file preparation.
  • Compile inventory reports and oversee payroll-related control account reconciliations.
  • Submit accurate statutory returns within deadlines.
  • Provide TMI reporting to Germany and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  • Approve VIM processes for accounts payable invoices in alignment with the approved approval matrix.
  • Oversee purchase requisition approvals and verify general ledger accounts and cost centers.
  • Ensure accurate closing of Accpac ERP systems as per company guidelines.
  • Support year-end audit file preparation and associated tasks.
  • Manage payments and ensure timely bank releases.
