Duties & Responsibilities

We're seeking a sharp, strategic, and adventurous Group Accountant who is ready to bring clarity to complexity, structure to scale, and financial insight to a company that's all about exploration. As the Group Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and group-level financial oversight. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Taxation & Compliance
• Compilation and submission of tax computations (IT14s) for 15 group companies
• Oversight of all taxation matters, including VAT submissions for subsidiaries
• Keeping up to date with current tax legislation and ensuring group compliance
• Annual South African Reserve Bank (SARB) reporting and ongoing management of SARB authorities
• Compilation of draft Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for 15 companies using Caseware
• Preparation for annual audits, including the compilation and management of audit packs
• Responsibility for intercompany cost allocations and reconciliations
• Employee Trust Management
• Provide general accounting and financial support on an ad hoc basis as required by the finance team or senior management

Experience and Skills Required

• BCom Accounting Degree (minimum)
• Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience
