Group Financial Manager

Location: Garsfontein, Pretoria

Salary: R80,000 per month

Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Manager to lead the group's daily financial operations.

This is a senior managerial role where you'll be responsible for high-level financial planning and reporting, while providing strategic insights to executive management to drive business success.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a critical role in enhancing financial operational efficiency and shaping the group's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  2. Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
  3. Prepare and present monthly financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
  4. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the group's financial statements, cash flow, and balance sheet.
  5. Ensure compliance with all financial and tax legislation.
  6. Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  7. Prepare financial reports for executive management, the Audit and Risk Committee, Board, and shareholders.
  8. Engage with external auditors, banks, funders, and shareholders to maintain strong financial partnerships.
  9. Develop and oversee strategic financial planning and analysis, including project feasibility studies and capital investment decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accredited CA(SA) qualification and membership with SAICA, or SAIPA with relevant experience.
  • CIMA or CFA qualification for specialization in management accounting or investment/analysis.
  • MBA or related master's degree focusing on strategy, business, or finance.
  • Additional training or experience in taxation, risk management, or digital transformation is advantageous.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven hands-on financial management experience at group level, providing strategic financial guidance and reporting.
  • Experience leading financial teams within a diverse group structure.
  • Strong strategic thinking and financial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
