Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external partners on the implementation of new grid technologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in power systems.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a significant focus on grid modernization, smart grids, or utility automation.
• In-depth knowledge of power system analysis, grid operations, and control systems.
• Experience with SCADA, EMS, DMS, AMI, and other grid modernization technologies.
• Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PowerFactory).
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing power grids in South Africa is highly desirable.
