Job summary

A leading company in software solutions is seeking an experienced GRC Implementation Consultant with a strong focus on Risk Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and optimizing GRC platforms to enhance risk management processes. Engage with clients to develop tailored software solutions, provide training and generate actionable risk insights through comprehensive reporting. A deep understanding of risk frameworks and compliance regulations is essential, along with at least three years of experience in a related role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Risk Management or equivalent role.
  • Experience with risk management software required.
  • Training/facilitation experience desirable.

Who are we looking for : GRC Implementation Consultant (Risk Management)

What will you do :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented GRC Software Implementation Specialist with a strong focus on Risk Management to join our team. This individual will be responsible for implementing and optimising GRC software solutions, particularly for managing risk within the organisation.

The role requires a deep understanding of risk frameworks and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth deployment, integration and configuration of GRC platforms to enhance risk management processes.

Reports into : Head of Services

Role is in office (Rosebank) / client-based with possible travel into the rest of Africa.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Client Engagement : Collaborate with clients to understand their governance, risk and compliance objectives and tailor GRC software solutions to meet their specific needs.
  2. Software Configuration : Gather requirements from key stakeholders in risk management and compliance teams to tailor the software solution to organisational requirements. Design and configure workflows, risk assessments, reporting dashboards and risk registers within the GRC software.
  3. Training and Support : Conduct comprehensive training sessions, empowering users to utilise the software's capabilities effectively. Guide clients in leveraging reporting and analytics tools to derive actionable insights and drive continuous improvement.
  4. Reporting : Develop and maintain risk dashboards, reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide real-time insights into the risk landscape within the software.
  5. Documentation and Communication : Maintain clear documentation of processes, configurations and customisations, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the implementation process. Consistently communicate with internal and external stakeholders, informing them of new releases, features and functionalities.
  6. Stakeholder Management : Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring timely work delivery and issue resolution. Identify and communicate innovations or knowledge that enhance our services and offerings.
  7. Risk Management Processes : Provide expertise in aligning the GRC software to organisational risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, COSO, etc.).

What will you need :

Required Experience :

  • Completed degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Risk Manager or Risk Officer role.
  • Experience with risk management software such as CURA, Barnowl, etc.

Desirable Experience :

  • Hands-on exposure to ACL, Diligent products (desirable requirement).
  • Training / facilitation experience (desirable requirement).
