Graphic Designer (Temporary) – Bedfordview, Johannesburg.
The graphic designer’s role is to develop the company’s brand and identity. This includes logos, business cards, letterheads, what branding is put on items, websites, and so on.
This is a very fast-paced environment, and as such, the designer would need to be able to meet the specified deadlines set out by their supervisor or manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be cognisant of and research current trends within the industry with the aim off staying up to date with new technology, as well as to trends pertaining to graphic design.
- Design and brainstorm different ideas with regards to logo’s, business cards, flyers, letterheads, websites, and any other content required.
- Design, generate and utilise templates for the various companies.
- Collaborate with other teams (Marketing, Social Media, Photography, and Digital Marketing) to ensure brand consistency.
- Liaise with various departments to design and implement their strategy and their vision by using their concepts and content and then designing sample graphics for them to choose from.
- Brainstorm, plan and develop website designs by ensuring that the user interface is easy to navigate for the overall user experience.
- Produce and edit videos for Social Media, with the assistance from the Photographer.
- Be creative in generating slogans, hashtags, phrases, etc. for graphic images produced.
- Brand Management: manage all Corporate Identities and profiles of each company under the Group.
- All content produced must be of high quality and should match the Corporate Identities (CI’s) which are in place. This can include, but is not limited to text, font style, graphic elements, etc. All designs need to be match and be appropriate to the brand.
- Should have solid knowledge in the Adobe Software Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro and InDesign.
- Sign up for different Graphic Design Courses/Seminars to help stay up to date with current trends and industry practices.
- Make sure that all graphics have been approved by the relevant party.
- Ensure all graphics created are sent out timeously and assisting other members of the team, where needed.
- Anticipating and planning for possible different scenarios.
- The ability to present ideas, plans and concepts to other parties and/or Managers.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Requirements:
