Job summary

Advius (Pty) Ltd in Durban, South Africa, invites a graphic design graduate to join a one-year in-service training program. You will design print, laser and CNC-ready artwork, liaise with clients, prepare quotations, and oversee jobs from production to delivery. Successful trainees may secure permanent roles at contract end.

The role blends creative design with commercial awareness, requiring a portfolio and strong communication skills. Immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing design work, vector layouts and print-ready artwork (mandatory).
• Strong commercial understanding including artwork sizing and costing.
• Available to start immediately.
• Experience in print, wide-format printing, signage, CNC or laser cutting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients, understand requirements and manage accounts.
• Prepare quotations and cost estimates.
• Design print-ready, laser-ready and CNC-ready artwork.
• Calculate artwork sizing, material use and media nesting for each job.
• Coordinate with production to schedule and complete jobs.
• Check quality and ensure deadlines are met.
