Graphic Designer - Johannesburg

Thompsons Holidays, a leading company in the travel industry, is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team in Johannesburg.

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing and engaging designs for various marketing activations and campaigns.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the uploading of image banners, brochures, mailers, and sightseeing docs on the website via CMS.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing and on-brand designs that effectively communicate key messages.
3. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines and design standards are met.
4. Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative design techniques to enhance visual communication.
5. Maintain existing Cullinan Content Portal.
6. Creative and imaginative design of mailers, adverts, flyers, social media posts, sightseeing documents, and all other internal creative needs according to Thompson templates and guidelines.
7. Conceptualize and interpret brochure briefs and produce creative & high-quality brochures.
8. Go above and beyond to keep up with heavy workloads and strict deadlines while consistently surpassing expectations.
9. Ensure the necessary processes are followed to eliminate errors and losses.

Requirements

1. Diploma in Graphic Design or a 4-year Degree in Graphic Design.
2. Proven experience working as a Graphic Designer (an advantage is within the travel industry).
3. Excellent working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver).
4. Knowledge of Mailchimp.
5. Strong understanding of layout design principles.
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
7. Strong communication (spelling and grammar) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
9. Produce high-quality work by using creative and imaginative design.
