Job summary

Fraser Alexander is seeking a Graduate Technical Engineer to support tailings operations across sites, focusing on operational risk management, risk monitoring, reporting, inspections and technical audits.

The role involves data quality assurance, site characterisation reviews, and collaboration with engineers to plan projects, scope feasibility, provide design inputs and manage costs. You will gain hands-on experience under supervision in a challenging mining environment.

Qualifications

• BTech or BSc in Engineering (Civil / Geotechnical / Technical).
• MRD 101 or equivalent Tailings Management Course.
• Registered candidate engineer with ECSA.
• 2 to 4 years relevant experience in tailing operations and/or tailings technical support.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical audits, site characterisation reviews, and stability observations under supervision.
• Ensure data submissions are complete, consistent, and quality-assured.
• Collaborate with the RTFEs and EoRs as needed.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, including scoping, feasibility inputs, design support, and cost management.
