Job summary

The Key Recruitment Group is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to join the Hermanus/Overstrand Area in the Western Cape on a one-year fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate has a recently completed B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering and may benefit from ECSA Candidate Engineer status.

Experience in water treatment or process engineering is advantageous. You will support audits, optimise dosing, and maintain records while developing SOPs and coordinating with clients and consultants to ensure

Qualifications

• Recent B.Eng. Chemical Engineering graduate; ECSA Candidate Engineer status would be an advantage.
• Experience in water treatment or process engineering is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with contractual, operational, and process requirements at assigned water treatment sites.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and reports.
• Optimise chemical dosing to improve efficiency and water quality.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and weekly reporting.
• Support development and updating of SOPs and procedures; training where needed.
• Assist with process testing, calibration, and performance evaluations.
• Assist with design and optimisation studies, including risk assessments and value engineering.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants on technical clarifications.
• Assist with project execution from design to commissioning and testing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and energy/water efficiency.
