Qualifications

• Recent graduate or graduating within the year of appointment.

• Postgraduate qualification in communications, media, or a related field.
• Vacation work, internships, student media, or academic exposure to communications, journalism, public relations, or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Media relations and press support: monitor media coverage and draft releases and responses.
• Content creation and digital communications: draft articles and posts following MTN's brand guidelines.
• Events and stakeholder engagement: assist with organising events, sponsorships, and materials.
• Reputation monitoring and reporting: track coverage and flag reputational risks.
• Internal and external stakeholder coordination: support communications across marketing, product, legal, risk, and regional teams.
• Corporate Social Investment (CSI): coordinate volunteers and reports for initiatives like Mandela Day and Y’ello Care.
• Learning and development: participate in the graduate internship programme and complete training modules.
