Your role and responsibilities : In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to become proficient in your job.

Each day, you will gain required knowledge and skills through vocational training and share time between school / college and ABB.

You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with internal resources for delivering effective solutions and implementing process improvements.

This role contributes to the Process Automation Business Area in South Africa.

Main stakeholders are ABB Businesses, Business Leaders, and Teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Enhancing operational efficiency by diligently following Key Performance Indicators, closely monitoring the status of orders, and taking prompt actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Observing the overall process and trends across inquiries, identifying improvement areas, and collaborating with internal resources to implement them.
• Following instructions, practicing your skills, and seeking feedback to ensure your progress.
• Participating in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up to date on company policies, procedures, and best practices.

Our team : You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive in these functional areas:

• Corporate Marketing and Communication: Responsible for corporate branding, communications, and event management.
• Supply Chain Management or Logistics: Managing transport, trade, logistics, and supply chain operations.
• Human Resource Management: Overseeing employee lifecycle management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, payroll, and industrial relations.
• Finance or Accounting: Focusing on business controlling and accounts payable functions.
• Occupational Health & Safety: Contributing to health and safety campaigns and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Information Technology or Systems: Managing end-to-end processes and technology systems.

Qualifications for the role : University graduates with no more than 2 years of working experience, excellent communication skills in English, a growth mindset, and South African citizenship. BA or BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Health & Safety, or Marketing & Communication. High-performing students with a minimum average of 65%. Proven problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, confidence, and a desire to learn.
