Job summary

WSP in Africa in Cape Town is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Property & Buildings Electrical Engineering team. You will gain exposure to electrical building services design, renewable energy solutions, and multidisciplinary project delivery.

The role offers mentorship toward professional registration, hands-on learning, on-site experience, and flexible hybrid working arrangements within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• BTech or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Candidate Engineer with ECSA eligibility.
• South African citizenship.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Driver's license and transport for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations, tenders, and detailed design.
• Support on-site construction monitoring and drawings.
• Design MV/LV electrical building services.
• Assist with lighting, generators, CCTV, and BMS/ELV systems.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure design alignment.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and quality standards.
