Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Graduate Architectural Assistant for their Mahikeng office in North West. You will support design development, drafting, and documentation, working closely with senior architects and technologists to gain hands-on experience across project phases.

The ideal candidate has a relevant degree, strong design foundations, and a willingness to learn BIM and CAD workflows in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; BIM tools like Revit a plus.
• Solid understanding of architectural design principles and construction processes.
• Strong drawing, sketching, and visualization abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and task management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing architectural drawings, plans and presentations using CAD software.
• Support senior staff in developing design concepts and schematic designs.
• Conduct site visits and measure/document existing conditions.
• Help prepare specifications and other project documentation.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Learn and apply architectural drafting standards and building codes.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to project management and archiving.
• Gain experience in BIM workflows under supervision.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to design discussions.
