Grade 7 Maternity Leave Locum

MATERNITY LEAVE LOCUM TO COMMENCE 17 JUNE 2025 – 17 OCTOBER 2025 ON A FIXED-TERM CONTRACT

Southern Cross Schools, situated on a wildlife estate in Hoedspruit in the Limpopo Province, is an independent co-educational day and boarding school. The school provides education from Pre-school to Grade 12 and is a member of ISASA. Learners write the Grade 12 IEB examinations.

We are currently seeking to appoint a SACE registered suitably qualified and experienced person to teach Grade 7 at Southern Cross Schools effective from 17 June 2025 to 17 October 2025. This is a temporary position for a 4-month period.

Energy, initiative, excellent organisational and inter-personal skills, time management and a sound work ethic are fundamental requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative individual with a caring and nurturing nature who is passionate about working with children.
• Strong administration, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in the English language with good report writing skills.
• Work closely with the Prep Head, and fellow teaching staff.
• Be willing to assist in the extramural programme as required.
• SACE Certification.
