OUR SCHOOL

ROLE SUMMARY :

To adopt a holistic view of students in their care. To promote the general progress and well-being of individuals and any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting lessons. (All subjects for Grade 4)
2. Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes engaged learning.
3. Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and students’ homework.
4. Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
5. Be open to continuously develop one's teaching through personal and school-wide professional development.
6. Teach extra lessons on two afternoons per week and/or when required.
7. Produce resources of a high standard for students.
8. Participate in our extra mural programme – 2 afternoons per week.
9. Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
10. Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
11. Set and mark examinations and all other forms of student evaluation.
12. Set up and write report comments.
13. The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determines.

2. Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
3. A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area
4. Ability to judge learning effectiveness
5. Excellent preparation and planning
6. Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance
7. Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare
8. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience will be advantageous
9. Confidence with the use of IT in teaching
10. Previous experience with IEB Programme
11. University qualification
12. Certified Teaching Status.
