SUMMARY: This position is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising Southwest Farm field crew activities.

Responsibilities include: supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing QA facility buildings and grounds; coordinate with processing plants and schedule live haul drivers; oversee cleaning and maintenance of QA facility laundering facilities; coordinate activities of farm inspections, vaccinations, fuel permits, licensing, vehicle and equipment repairs at the QA facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory: Manages one salaried and three lead employees, supervising a total of forty-five employees.

Manages maintenance and QA facility personnel. Travel within the farm area is extensive. The jobsite is a biosecurity environment requiring showering before entry and possibly multiple showers during the day.

Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided. Jewelry is not permitted except for medical ID jewelry. The candidate must be willing to sign agreements related to biosecurity and animal welfare policies.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
