Job description

Job Title: GP Deputy Head - Girls Education

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg | Deadline: June 13, 2025

Requirements

• A suitable professional qualification and appropriate educational experience, particularly in Girls’ Education
• Extensive experience in managing transformation and diversity matters
• Experience in facilitating student leadership and girl empowerment programmes
• Understanding of pastoral care, socio-emotional, and discipline issues facing girls
• Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
• Knowledge of social, emotional learning (SEL) curriculum; teaching senior subjects in Intermediate and/or Senior phase is advantageous
• Progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international education trends; willingness to teach
• Experience in integrating Girls’ Education into curriculum, Arts & Culture, and Extramural Programmes
• Understanding of budget management and financial planning
• Strong organisational, managerial, administrative, and communication skills
• Previous leadership experience in an ISASA school is advantageous
• Proof of registration with SACE and a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
• Commitment to the school's ethos, co-curricular activities, and pastoral approach
• Willingness to work within the Methodist Church-based ethos of the College
