Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Reporting

  • Deliver timely, accurate compliance reports to Business Banking and Group Compliance forums.
  • Highlight emerging compliance and conduct risks affecting operations or customer outcomes.
  • Track and report on regulatory implementation, remediation progress, and key concerns.

2. Training & Awareness

  • Design and implement a targeted compliance training plan.
  • Deliver training on regulatory obligations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
  • Create engaging compliance communications (e.g., newsletters, alerts, FAQs).

3. Regulatory & Policy Gap Assessments

  • Conduct proactive assessments of new/amended regulations.
  • Perform impact analyses and collaborate on implementation strategies.
  • Monitor and support remediation of identified compliance gaps.

4. Regulatory Advocacy & Industry Engagement

  • Review draft regulations and provide business-specific input.
  • Shape regulatory responses that reflect operational realities and client needs.
  • Ensure feedback aligns with compliance feasibility and customer outcomes.

5. Regulatory Commitments & Submissions

  • Track and manage regulatory commitments and submissions.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency in all regulatory engagements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to support regulatory readiness and follow-up actions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s DegreeandAdvanced Diplomas(LLB preferred).
  • 5–7 yearsof experience in compliance, risk management, or governance roles.
  • Strong report writing skills for senior governance forums (Board, Exco).
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in translating complex regulatory content into strategic insights.
  • Risk management qualification is an added advantage.
