MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Provide strategic leadership, and manage key performance indicators that support KNP's Economic and Social Development programs. Lead initiatives that promote sustainable socio-economic growth, address social inequalities, and empower communities.

JOB OBJECTIVES

  1. Lead the development and execution of strategies and programs focused on socio-economic transformation.
  2. Develop, implement, and monitor the business plan for HR Strategy and Biodiversity management.
  3. Coordinate and manage SET programs, including performance management, monitoring, evaluation, and policy development.
  4. Lead the development of policies related to SET programs.
  5. Manage the implementation of Enterprise and Supplier Development, Biodiversity Economy, and land claims programs.
  6. Oversee social legacy and donation funds implementation.
  7. Ensure sound financial management and corporate governance in SET programs.
  8. Guide stakeholder engagement strategies.
  9. Promote local enterprise participation via Community Public and Private Partnerships (CPPPs) and Supply Chain Management opportunities.
  10. Identify and maintain strategic partnerships.
  11. Develop income strategies for tourism development.
  12. Create SOPs for CPPP and CPP.
  13. Identify economic development programs across business units.
  14. Analyze local enterprises and suppliers’ databases by sector and location.
  15. Develop demand and supplier matrices and SOPs for strategic partnerships.
  16. Establish service level agreements based on MOUs and MOAs.
  17. Coordinate with funding agencies for Economic Social Development.
  18. Conduct trend analysis in ESD.
  19. Compile BBBEE compliance reports.
  20. Oversee community development and beneficiation plans.
  21. Lead governance efforts for community trusts, enterprise registration, and training.
  22. Identify and develop new retail, tourism, and wildlife economy products.
  23. Develop the events sector in KNP.
  24. Drive revenue generation aligned with program goals.
  25. Provide leadership to the division and foster a positive employee/employer relationship.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • NQF level 8 qualification in Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, or Community Development.
  • Master’s Degree (NQF 9) in relevant field (desirable).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Financial Management.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Business Development.
  • 6-10 years’ experience in Community and Enterprise Development, with at least 5 years in senior management.
  • Proven track record in Social Business & Enterprise Development.
