Job summary

Innovazi Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned sales professional to drive air and ocean procurement and international trade initiatives. You will plan and execute ISVs locally and abroad, run CSTs, educate local staff, and negotiate rates while monitoring shipments for VIP clients.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving and decision making, with a focus on CRM and Incoterms to maximise profitability across global trade lanes.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate with Maths and English at HG level.
• BCom in Sales & Marketing or related qualification (NQF 7).
• Minimum 5 years in clearing/forwarding and international transport.
• Strong knowledge of CRM, Incoterms, tariffs and exchange codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to Air and Ocean Procurement for product development.
• Plan and execute International Sales Visits (ISVs) locally and abroad.
• Conduct Consignee Selling Trips (CSTs) abroad when required.
• Coordinate incoming CSTs and create local awareness of assigned trade lanes.
• Educate local sales staff through joint calls and training.
• Escalate pricing and market issues to Procurement.
• Report on market information, competitor activities, and product issues.
• Deliver the highest level of customer service.
• Visit potential customers, including sales trips to the Far East twice annually.
• Monitor shipments for VIP clients and negotiate rates.
• Manage global trade lane calls and stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor results and ensure compliance with quality management systems.

• BCom degree in Sales & Marketing or related qualification (NQF level 7)

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the clearing and forwarding industry
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in international transportation
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in professional sales and global trade lane management (Asia focus)
• Strong knowledge of:
  
  • Servicing & marketing principles
  • International trade practices
  • Tariff calculation concepts
  • CRM and Incoterms
  • Carrier & depot conditions of trade
  • National currencies and international codes
• Advanced verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Client service orientation with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes
