Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Trade Finance Specialist for a prominent international bank in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will manage letters of credit, documentary collections, guarantees, and other instruments, ensuring compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, and URC 522 while advising clients on trade finance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, International Business, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in trade finance operations or related banking role.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and instruments (LCs, guarantees, collections).
• Familiarity with UCP 600, eUCP, ISP98, URC 522.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage trade finance instruments (LCs, standby LCs, documentary collections, guarantees).
• Verify compliance of trade finance documentation with laws and international standards (UCP 600, ISBP).
• Assess and mitigate risks in trade finance transactions (country, counterparty, fraud).
• Liaise with clients, banks, and stakeholders to facilitate transactions.
• Provide expert advice on trade finance solutions and structuring deals.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting international trade finance.
• Ensure accurate processing of fees and charges related to trade finance operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of trade finance processes and systems.
