Job summary

Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's Strategic Negotiator, you combine market knowledge of telecom infrastructure with deal-making acumen to negotiate cost-effective agreements for fiber, data centers and transport services to support Google's growth.

Based in Johannesburg, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver optimal commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience structuring wholesale telecommunications infrastructure agreements in fiber networks, colocation data centers, and transport services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key commercial partners including telecommunications companies, network carriers and colocation operators for asset acquisition, edge network penetration, and Cloud partnerships.
• Cultivate and grow relationships with vendors and partners to facilitate on-time execution of high-quality contracts and orders.
• Work closely with legal, planning, tax, policy and treasury teams, identifying cost-effective solutions and optimal commercial frameworks for our needs.
• Discuss and implement commercial frameworks that allow for predictable, efficient delivery of assets to meet the needs of Google's portfolio of products and services.
