The opportunity

This role is for an Associate Director Talent Advisor and Business Partner responsible for one or more stakeholder groups within the Tax division. The role involves understanding and influencing business strategy and workforce needs, advising on strategic Talent matters including workforce planning and business-led change initiatives, and translating business needs into Talent priorities. The role will build proactive relationships with Tax Talent Leaders globally and regionally to ensure effective strategy execution.

Your key responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with business leaders as a trusted strategic Talent advisor.
  • Advise on all talent matters contributing to Tax strategy and objectives.
  • Influence business strategy and drive Talent agenda, including workforce planning, retention, skills development, and business changes.
  • Identify business needs and communicate with Talent functions for solutions.
  • Respond to Talent queries, prepare presentations, and support strategic priorities.
  • Lead Talent workstreams in business projects, ensuring effective implementation of Talent priorities.
  • Oversee Talent processes across regions, working closely with Talent functions.
  • Champion Talent change initiatives and contribute to design and deployment of Talent solutions.
  • Manage relationships and communication with global and regional Talent teams.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues as needed.
  • Travel and flexible working hours may be required due to the global nature of the role.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Provide credible advice to senior leaders and work independently.
  • Understand business trends and implications for Talent.
  • Use data and analytics for strategic workforce planning.
  • Assess Talent implications of business changes and develop solutions.

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Work with colleagues to ensure effective advice and project delivery.
  • Lead Talent workstreams and contribute to Talent change initiatives.
  • Maintain networks and partnerships across EY practices and departments.
