Job summary

Triz Engineering Solutions in Centurion is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team focused on end-to-end vehicle development. You will play a key role in transforming concepts into manufacturable designs for commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities include CAD design, BOM management, supplier liaison, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver cost-effective, regulation-compliant products. Travel overseas may be required.

Qualifications

• BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• 3D CAD experience.
• Willing to travel overseas (USA) for variable periods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate task scope of work.
• Prepare and maintain bills of materials and their representative 3D assemblies.
• Product data management.
• Create 3D parts and 2D part drawings to meet supplier and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers and customer on designs.
• Conduct concept and design reviews.
• Learn to operate CAD software packages, PLM systems.
• Support the day-to-day activities of customers.
• Provide cost-saving, service improvement, and design optimization solutions.
• Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing.
• Coordinate with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to optimize materials and processes.
• Work with Product Regulation and Compliance staff to meet government regulations.
