Job summary
Scatec ASA is seeking a Material Controller in Kathu, Northern Cape, responsible for managing material at site, including documentation and reporting. The role requires a Diploma in Logistics/Material Management and 5 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include coordinating material shipments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications
5 years’ experience in Materials management.
Experience in construction projects.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Valid driver's licence.
Responsibilities
Arrange storage and laydown area according to Site Manager's instructions.
Manage information relevant to arrival of materials and their availability.
Coordinate shipping documentation and feed the D365 database.
Manage receiving, check, storage, and preservation of materials.
Initiate procedures for insurance claims for material damage.
Coordinate issuance of NCR by the Quality Manager.
Facilitate claims against Logistics Forwarder for damages due to transportation.
