Job summary
AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Principal: Mineral Processing & Ore Body Knowledge to lead global geometallurgy initiatives and optimize gold recovery across operations and projects. You will own the strategic roadmap, govern Health of Plant standards, and mentor site teams to sustain technical capability.
Based in Denver, Johannesburg, or Belo Horizonte, you will travel internationally to drive value. The role requires a deep understanding of the mining value chain, extensive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Geometallurgy/Metallurgical Engineering/Process Engineering/Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant technical and operational mining experience.
- Deep practical understanding of the mining value chain and willingness for extensive international travel.
Responsibilities
- Safety & Values: embody AGA's culture and support incident investigations.
- Strategy & Governance: own Health of Plant audit and global OBK strategy; set standards and QA/QC frameworks.
- Deployment & Value Delivery: drive integrated geometallurgy and recovery models to improve throughput and gold recovery.
- Technical Leadership & Partnerships: act as SME in Mineral Processing and Geology-to-Mill integration; manage collaborations.
- Capability Building: establish training paths, playbooks, and coaching across sites.
