Derivco, a leading game technology developer, is seeking a legally qualified Contracts Manager to join our Governance, Risk & Compliance team in Durban. This hands-on role blends legal judgement with detailed contract administration across a global, regulated industry.

You will review and manage commercial agreements end-to-end, coordinate with external counsel, monitor key dates and renewals, and maintain audit-ready records.

Qualifikationen

• LLB is strongly advantageous; admission as an attorney is a plus.
• 4–6 years’ progressive experience in a legal environment (contract management, commercial legal or related role), in‑house or private practice.
• Strong commercial contract review skills and a sharp eye for detail in contract wording.
• Sound judgement on legal risk and clear escalation when needed.
• Experience instructing and working with external legal counsel.
• Comfort handling multi‑jurisdiction agreements and cross‑border dealings.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills with high-volume records.
• Hands‑on experience with contract management systems and governance registers.

Aufgaben

• Manage agreements across the lifecycle from request to signature.
• Be the first point of contact for contractual queries and escalate high‑risk matters.
• Spot risk early and advise on remediation before signature.
• Work with external legal counsel and consolidate feedback.
• Own contract administration with audit trails and proper filing.
• Maintain governance registers and tracking of key dates and renewals.
• Coordinate signatures with authorised signatories and finalise docs.
• Track obligations, renewals and notices; ensure policy controls are followed.
• Support template and process improvements and training.
