A specialist market research firm, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng is seeking to employ a Junior to mid-level GIS Data & Market Analyst on a permanent basis.

Their services in a nutshell include feasibility studies, demographic studies, site evaluations, and possible turnover estimates. You will be responsible for putting together specialist market feasibility reports with accompanying demand forecast models across a wide variety of property uses / assets.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of various real estate asset classes and be able to interpret various economic, demographic, and property data to make informed recommendations to clients. Strong competency in Esri ArcGIS will be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

1. Collect, analyse, interrogate, and interpret data in line with applicable methodologies and standards.
2. Work with Senior Associates to conduct relevant market feasibilities and reports.
3. Delivery of assigned projects in line with specific Key Performance Indicator parameters (time, quality, cost, value).
4. Report writing (conceptual to final stages).
5. Client interaction.

Type of Projects / Reports:

1. Property Feasibility Reports (Mixed-Use, Residential, Industrial, Hospitality, Education, Medical etc.)
2. Benchmarking and Gap Analysis.
3. Bespoke research reports.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Property, Business, GIS or a related field is required.
2. At least 1 year experience working in a similar role, field or industry.
3. ESRI ArcGIS Online knowledge and application.
4. High proficiency with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
6. Previous exposure to feasibility studies will be beneficial.
7. Statistics, Geo Information Science experience will be beneficial.

Salary: R20,000 to R30,000 / month basic salary, dependant on skill and experience.
