Placements24 seeks a Geothermal Energy Technician for our client in Rustenburg, North West. You will operate, monitor, and maintain geothermal power facilities, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance of turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers, installation support for upgrades, log keeping, and collaboration with engineers to maximize plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years' experience with industrial machinery including power generation or oil and gas.
• Proven experience with rotating equipment (turbines, pumps) and fluid systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
