Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or eligible.

• Familiar with geotechnical software for analysis (PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

This role is crucial for assessing subsurface conditions and providing essential data for the foundation design of various construction projects. You will be responsible for planning and executing site investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and delivering clear, actionable reports to guide clients and project teams. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise geotechnical investigations , including boreholes, trial pits, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to determine engineering properties and potential geological hazards.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Provide technical guidance and support to design teams and construction personnel regarding geotechnical aspects .
• Ensure all fieldwork and reporting adhere to industry best practices and relevant South African National Standards (SANS).
• Liaise with clients and other consultants to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
