Job summary

Mass Staffing Projects is seeking a Geometric Design Engineer in Cape Town to lead the geometric design of urban and rural roads, interchanges and related infrastructure. The role requires 5–10 years' experience and engineering registration with ECSA.

Experience with road safety improvements, NMT planning, and contract administration (FIDIC, GCC2010, COLTO & SANS1200) is essential. Cape Town-based position with strong project management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering required; Masters advantageous.
• Registered with ECSA as PrEng or PrTech.
• 5–10 years in geometric road design (national, provincial, municipal).

Responsibilities

• Geometric design of urban and rural roads and infrastructure.
• Interchanges and intersections design.
• Road signs and markings, traffic calming, NMT planning.
• Road safety audits and highway capacity analysis.
• Contract documentation and administration (FIDIC, GCC2010, COLTO & SANS1200).
• Project management duties.

A leading national consulting engineering firm is looking for a Geometric Design Engineer to join their exceptional Cape Town Team.

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering. A Masters degree will be advantageous.
• Professional Registration with ECSA as PrEng or PrTech.
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in the geometric design of roads (National, Provincial and Municipal/Urban), with specific experience on SANRAL and Western Cape Government roads.
• Key experience should include the geometric design of urban- and rural roads and infrastructure, interchanges, intersections, traffic calming measures, road safety improvements and modern roundabout design, non-motorized transport (NMT) planning and implementation, universal access design, road signs and markings, highway capacity analysis, road safety audits, (FIDIC, GCC2010, COLTO & SANS1200) contract documentation and administration; and Project Management.
