Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a GEO Specialist (Generative Engine Optimization) to own search for a portfolio of B2B and growing-brand clients. You will shape the technical roadmap, content priorities, and the ranking story, acting as the strategic voice at the table and making key calls.

You will lead technical SEO, keyword strategy, and AI-enabled content coordination with writers, while ensuring visibility across traditional and AI search results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers and AI.
• Get clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Handle links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Provide GA4 and Search Console reporting and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
