Job summary

VKB Group's Modder River mechanisation branch is seeking a general worker to support the daily operations of the workshop. You will assist with loading, cleaning, stock handling, and general manual tasks to keep the branch efficient.

The role requires Grade 12 or NQF4, ability to perform hard manual labour, and a willingness to work as part of a practical team. Previous tractor workshop experience is advantageous; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or NQF4 required.
• Able to perform hard manual labour.
• Load and offload of stock.
• Keep premises and building clean and in excellent condition.
• Previous experience in a tractor workshop environment is advantageous.
• Constantly adding value to the function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general tidiness.
• Cleaning duties.
• ADHOC duties as assigned from time to time.
• Assist customers/suppliers with loading and offloading of stock as required according to policies and procedures.
• General housekeeping of premises and building.
• Customer services.
• Workshop related duties including but not limited to assisting the workshop mechanic with any tasks as required.
• Assist workshop mechanics and technicians with day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks.
• Hand tools, parts, and materials to mechanics during repair and assembly operations.
