We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our team at HMP Thameside, a category B resettlement prison in South-East London, near Woolwich Arsenal and Plumstead stations. In this role, you will support approximately 1232 patients, including an 18-bed inpatient unit. This position is suitable for GPs who enjoy delivering comprehensive care and are interested in supporting patients with mental health and substance misuse needs. You will work closely with a fully staffed mental health and inpatient team, including two ANPs. There is also potential for rotational work between HMP Thameside and HMP Belmarsh, offering diverse clinical experience.
We offer variable shift patterns, including out-of-hours work to cover receptions operating until 23:00. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with an annual salary up to £125,400, depending on experience.
