We're building a private equity firm with a track record of starting and scaling companies.

Lighthouse Capital is an emerging private equity fund founded by entrepreneurs who have started 7 businesses, had one minor exit, and understand operational pressures.

We are raising a $50M fund to acquire and scale mid-sized businesses across Africa, focusing on sectors like:

• Fintech
• AI-powered businesses
• Data infrastructure / Data centres
• Professional services

We seek a General Partner to bring institutional credibility and private equity expertise to our team.

Who We're Looking For

An experienced private equity professional with:

• 10+ years in private equity, investment banking, or principal investing
• Experience leading or co-leading buyout or growth equity deals from sourcing through exit
• Management of the full deal lifecycle: due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, post-acquisition value creation, exit planning
• Exposure to fund structuring, LP engagement, and capital raising
• Confidence presenting to institutional LPs (DFIs, fund-of-funds, HNWIs)
• Strong networks across the African PE landscape
• A history of being part of or leading high-performing investment teams

Your Role as General Partner

As part of the team, you will:

• Help finalize the fund structure and legal framework
• Lead conversations with institutional LPs and anchor investors
• Co-develop and oversee the fund's governance, compliance, and reporting frameworks
• Drive select transactions (buyouts or growth equity)
• Sit on the investment committee
• Shape Lighthouse Capital's long-term investment philosophy and operational model
• Support post-acquisition portfolio strategy alongside operating partners
