General Manager- (Team Leader)

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, mentor, and oversee Area Managers and store management teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
2. Analyze large datasets to identify business priorities and create actionable plans to address challenges and optimize store performance.
3. Promote a coaching leadership style, cultivating a culture of development and growth within the organization.
4. Build strong, trust-based relationships with store staff and management, facilitating collaboration to meet objectives.
5. Identify and nurture talent, fostering a learning environment where employees are continuously developed for career progression.
6. Manage operational complexity effectively, taking ultimate responsibility for up to 50 stores.
7. Serve as a liaison between stores and the corporate board, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of strategies.
8. Be hands-on in resolving operational issues, fixing underperforming stores, and leading strategic turnarounds.

Minimum Requirements

1. Proven Retail Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in senior retail management, overseeing multi-unit operations.
2. Bachelor’s Degree: In Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (an MBA or equivalent is advantageous).
3. Entrepreneurial Mindset: A demonstrated ability to take ownership, innovate, and implement changes as though running your own business.
4. Strong Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving profitability targets and implementing operational improvements.
5. Analytical Expertise: Proficient in analyzing and interpreting business data to drive results.
6. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, develop talent, and implement a coaching style of leadership.
7. High Emotional Intelligence: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships across various levels.
