Hire Resolve’s client in the Steel Manufacturing industry is urgently seeking an experienced General Manager to join their team in Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs of assets in production departments.
• Manage three warehouses across different provinces, including staff, product, and premises management.
• Oversee weekly stock sheets for all warehouses.
• Handle purchase orders from various suppliers.
• Prepare quotes for clients.
• Forecast steel requirements for upcoming projects and coordinate order timelines.
• Manage steel extraction data per store using Excel spreadsheets.
• Oversee client stock management and delivery.
• Maintain monthly sales journals with correct allocations.
• Prepare yearly sales budgets.
• Manage powder coating processes to optimize discounts.
• Build and nurture client relationships.
• Develop new business opportunities.
• Assist the transport supervisor with logistics for five supplying companies.
• Update supplier prices.
• Conduct site visits and travel between provinces.
• Perform quarterly stocktakes.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, work independently, and plan effectively.
• Manage operations in line with capacity and capability plans, ensuring quality and organization.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 3-5 years of general management experience
• 3-5 years of experience in steel manufacturing
