Job summary

A leading company in Gauteng seeks a General Manager with strong operational and financial leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the manufacturing or FMCG sectors, with proven success in multi-country operations. This role requires a strategic thinker comfortable with travel across the SADC regions, overseeing teams and driving business growth.

Job description

The candidate should have a completed BCom or similar with an Honours / MBA preferred.

Minimum 10 years business and operations leadership experience with at least 5 years in a similar position as GM or Country Manager.

The candidates experience must come from the manufacturing / FMCG / Industrial or Logistics related sectors.

Proven experience in multi-country operations is essential.

The position requires regular and ongoing travel to SADC regions.

The candidate must have a strong track record in P&L ownership, business growth and team leadership.

The key responsibilities will include : Commercial and Financial Leadership - budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management and strategic growth planning.

Operational oversight - oversee production, inventory, procurement, and distribution across all sites.

Implement / Improve systems where necessary Lead commercial strategy and regional expansion into SADC markets Lead and develop a cross-functional management team across sales, finance, admin, and operations.

Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, strengthen OHS.
