About the role

We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the effective management and development of specific property assets, including achieving growth and profitability objectives, and managing subordinates and property teams. You will provide input and execute property strategies related to the specific property. Responsibilities include all centre operations such as retail space management, marketing, leasing, health and safety, and maintenance.

What you will be doing

  • Formalise a strategic plan for the property and recommend re-engineering, streamlining, and risk management strategies to the Portfolio Executive
  • Improve the property through upgrades, renovations, and development to maximize its potential
  • Conduct annual risk and exposure analyses, reviewing current and potential risks
  • Perform monthly performance analyses against budgets and industry benchmarks
  • Utilise market research and intelligence to develop marketing strategies, including target market identification, tenant mix, and tenant procurement
  • Control capital expenditure for refurbishments and improvements
  • Build and maintain relationships with tenants and prospective users
  • Align and implement property and lease administration functions with business operations
  • Ensure proper administration of property and lease management
  • Manage tenant accounts and resolve relevant issues with stakeholders
  • Assess staff functions, conduct performance reviews, and manage reporting staff
