A leading company in the logistics sector is seeking a General Manager - Human Capital in Gauteng. This role involves overseeing HR functions, ensuring legal compliance, and managing extensive teams for operational efficiency. Candidates should have a BCom in HR Management and substantial experience in leadership and project management within diverse environments.

Location : Gauteng, Roodepoort
Minimum Qualifications and Experience :
BCom Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
8 to 10 years of experience as a Regional Human Resource Manager or Senior Human Resource Generalist with proven leadership skills.
Experience in diverse operational environments is advantageous.
Extensive operational experience is a plus.
Knowledge of the BCEA, EEA, LRA, and other relevant Acts.
Experience managing projects related to start-up procedures, manpower planning, client SLA requirements, and compliance processes.
Ability to manage logistics and lead a team to meet KPAs.
Skills in monitoring controls, daily progress, costs, and compliance with laws such as the Firearm Control Act, PSIRA, NKP.
Leadership skills to guide operational resources on manpower and risk management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Proven experience in project management.
Main Duties :
Oversee manpower compliance in a large-scale project, supporting the project manager.
Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track project progress.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels, including executive reporting.
Monitor contractual compliance and manage existing and new projects, including health and safety aspects.
Understand onboarding processes related to HR systems like SAP and FAMS, and related policies.
Manage regional HR functions and be willing to travel extensively within regions.
Maintain stakeholder relations to facilitate project roll-outs, engaging communities, clients, and other stakeholders.
Lead and manage a team, setting performance standards and providing feedback.
Ensure adherence to company policies and legislative requirements such as PSIRA, Firearms Control Act, BCEA, Employment Equity Act.
Engage with stakeholders to promote communication and collaboration.
Support organizational goals and initiatives.
