Introduction We currently have a vacancy for Logistics General Manager at our Centurion Distribution Centre, our largest DC which houses the National Singles DC. Role will be based in Centurion, Gauteng.
Job Description Purpose To support and enable growth in the inland region, through leading and improving the logistics capability and network with a relentless focus on customer service, financial and operational efficiency.

To assume full profit and loss accountability and lead the team in delivering the financial performance.

To effectively mitigate risks related to people safety, stock and assets by adhering to the relevant legislative requirements.

To ensure that shrinkage and wastage targets are achieved in order to meet the financial targets.
Minimum Requirements Knowledge (ESSENTIAL)
Warehouse Management Systems knowledge;
ERP;
SAP;
Understanding of the application of SHEQ and COIDA;
IR knowledge and Human Resources;
Transport contract management;
People Management.
Experience (ESSENTIAL)
5 to 7 years: Logistics/Operations management at a senior level;
Managed a large site – circa 44 000 m2 or more;
Operational logistics experience of at least 3 additional years;
People management experience in a unionised environment;
An appropriate Degree, Honours or Masters.
