Salary: R 40,000 to R 45,000 per month

Job Description

As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of Atlantis factory operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability. Your responsibilities include leading a team of managers and staff, implementing production strategies, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Factory Operations Management
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee daily factory activities, including production scheduling, materials management, and quality control.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Hire, train, and mentor managers and staff to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Promote a positive, safety-conscious work culture, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback.
  • Budget and Resource Management
    • Manage the factory budget, controlling costs and allocating resources.
    • Optimize utilization of labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure high product standards.
    • Address quality issues and work with the quality control team for corrective actions.
    • Develop quality systems for future ISO accreditation.
  • Supply Chain and Supplier Management
    • Collaborate with procurement to ensure steady material supply.
    • Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
    • Ensure factory compliance with all manufacturing and safety regulations.
    • Stay updated on industry standards and implement necessary changes.
  • Production Planning and Inventory Management
    • Develop production schedules aligning with customer demand.
    • Implement inventory control to reduce waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Customer and Director Relations
    • Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure timely delivery.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align factory goals with business strategy.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare reports on factory performance, including output, quality, and financial metrics.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    Desired Experience & Qualifications
    • Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
    • Diploma or Degree in business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology, or industrial engineering.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Knowledge of business principles, strategic planning, and HR management.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.
    • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
