What You'll Be Doing

As the General Manager – Logistics & Freight Forwarding, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's logistics strategy across South Africa.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Business Growth & Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities in logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions. Develop and present compelling business cases that drive sustainable growth and profitability. Position the company as a market leader in door-to-door logistics solutions.
2. Operational Setup & Optimization: Oversee the establishment of logistics operations, including warehousing, trucking, and intermodal solutions. Build and manage a reliable network of partners to ensure seamless supply chain integration. Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
3. Intermodal & Cross-Border Solutions: Develop and implement innovative multimodal transport solutions tailored to customer needs. Navigate South Africa's regulatory landscape and cross-border trade complexities. Ensure operational compliance with all national and international regulations.
4. Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with customers, port authorities, transport providers, and key industry stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering customized logistics solutions. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring win-win partnerships that drive long-term success.
5. Financial Performance & Profitability: Drive financial success through strategic cost management and margin optimization. Monitor key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategies to convert leads into long-term business partnerships.
