About the role: We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the effective management and development of specific property assets, including achieving growth and profitability objectives, and managing subordinates and property teams.
This role involves providing input and executing property strategies related to the specific property.
You will be responsible for all centre operations such as retail space management, marketing, leasing, health and safety, and maintenance.
What you will bring: A degree in Business Commerce, Business Administration, or Real Estate Management; 5-7 years of retail property management experience; 3-5 years as a General Manager of a Super Regional/Regional shopping centre; 2-4 years of project management planning, development, or redevelopment experience.
What you will be doing: Strategic management and execution by providing input on business strategy, including leasing, marketing, and operational targets, in collaboration with the Portfolio Executive and Regional Leasing Manager.
Monitor the implementation of operational plans, report progress to stakeholders, and address risks and corrective actions.
Oversee risk management reviews, ensure compliance with policies and controls.
Collaborate on leasing strategies to ensure profitability and growth, negotiate leasing deals, and manage renewals.
Support business unit management by aligning staff with company values and strategic initiatives, providing feedback and guidance.
Manage people: fill vacancies, oversee onboarding and induction processes.
Maintain relationships: liaise with external consultants, communicate with tenants and customers.
Assist with property management: specify and finalize service contracts, manage contractors.
Manage budgeting: control income and expenses, provide input on budgets based on market knowledge.
Liaise with tenants, clients, brokers, and the community to ensure effective interaction.
Evaluate retail management and tenant performance, including turnover and trading density analysis.
Participate in revamps and upgrades through visioning sessions with professionals.
