General Manager
Job description
As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee margins and discounts to ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Guide and mentor Sales Reps to adhere to selling principles and ensure that performance targets are met.
- Monitor and manage spending within flexible budgets, to meet revenue and income targets.
- Take action when targets are not met, ensuring continuous profit growth.
- Ensure that all goods are received, checked, and put away daily. Oversee daily cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Ensure that deliveries are made on time and in full, achieving customer service turnaround standards.
- Monitor delivery performance and service standards of external couriers.
- Oversee customer service operations in the Call Centre / Internal Sales team, ensuring that all complaints and queries are resolved within SLAs.
- Ensure that warehouse operations adhere to standard procedures.
- Build and maintain customer relationships, resolving issues related to logistics, pricing, returns, and repairs promptly.
- Promote the usage of our digital platforms, encouraging online transactions to drive growth.
- Oversee head counts, manage overtime, and ensure that leave and absenteeism are effectively planned.
- Facilitate training initiatives and ensure that employees are aligned with their performance goals and ratings.
What Do You Need?
- A 3-year qualification in Business Management or Commerce.
- 8-10 years of experience in sales and operational management, at a senior management level.
- Willingness to travel as required.
