General Maintenance Worker

Babylonstoren has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintenance in a hotel and factory environment.

Requirements

1. A completed National Senior Certificate qualification (matric / Grade 12).
2. 2 – 5 years’ experience in general facility maintenance.
3. Experience in the fields of plumbing, electrical and/or construction would be advantageous.
4. Experience with heating, ventilation and aircon (HVAC) maintenance would be advantageous.
5. Experience in the hospitality sector would be advantageous.
6. Fluent in Afrikaans and English with professional communication skills.
7. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
8. Valid driver’s license.
9. Honest and hardworking individual.

1. Take responsibility for a dedicated area and perform maintenance as needed.
2. Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues or concerns that may affect our guests' experience on the farm.
3. Liaise with operations and maintenance teams.
4. Must be able to work overtime as required.
5. Must be able to work every second weekend.
6. Minimise equipment downtime.
7. Take responsibility for inspections on a routine basis.
8. Assist with all administrative tasks.
9. Maintain high housekeeping standards in all areas.
